| FPT Telecom successfully tests mobile Wimax |

FPT Telecom announced that it has succeeded in testing the mobile Wimax technology according to the IEEE802.16r standard with the frequency of 2.3 Ghz of NEC firm under the Mitsubishi group.
A representative from Ministry of Information and Communication said the ministry would re-evaluate the technical parametres, broadband and the market movement to commercialise Wimax in Vietnam.
Now, Vietnam has five suppliers who have the information and communication ministry's approval to test the mobile Wimax technology, including VDC, EVN Telecom, FPT Telecom, Viettel and VTC. After VDC and EVN Telecom, FPT Telecom is the third unit succeeding in testing the technology.
