Vietnam Telecomp/ Vietnam Internet & IT/ Vietnam Electronics 2010 Concurrent High-Level Symposium-a Gateway to Vietnam's ICT Development |

The concurrent symposium to be held along side with the 13th International Exhibition in Vietnam on Telecommunications and Information Technology (‘Vietnam Telecomp 2010’) / Vietnam International Internet & IT Exhibition 2010 (‘Vietnam Internet & IT 2010’) / International Exhibition on Electronics Products in Vietnam 2010 (‘Vietnam Electronics 2010’) will be staged during November 17-18, 2010 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
As the most influential and effective platform for ICT professionals to grasp market intelligence, exchange technology information and share business development experience, the high-level symposium featuring numerous ICT hot topics will provide ample opportunities for in-depth industry exchange among professionals, who are being engaged in the convergence era, in the IT, electronics and relating industries.
The 1st Day of Symposium
The first day of the symposium will kick off with the high-level discussion under the main theme “Vietnam ICT Development Today & Tomorrow and the Business Opportunities”. Representative from the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) will present the strategic plan and regulation policy for Vietnam’s ICT development. Following that will be the presentation on “How to Leverage Broadband Network Infrastructure & Utility Services in order to Become a Nation of Advanced ICT Development” by Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), one of the largest telecom operator groups in Vietnam.
Furthermore, representative of Ministry of Health, Vietnam will give a speech on “Potential & Challenges of Applying ICT on Medical Service”. This best exemplifies how ICT development and convergence increase the possibilities to apply technology to daily life and enhance effectiveness in organizations of various types.
Apart from the Government bodies, one of the globally renowned operators, NTT DOCOMO will share its new approach to business and PCCW Global will talk about “ Switched HDVC - A Cost-Effective and High Quality Solution for Multinational Corporations”.
Following the promise of USD8.5 billions investment from Government to develop ICT in the coming 10 years, it is expected that the industry will be under rapid growth and will attract new investment and new venture in coming years. Readiness of the market and infrastructure will accelerate the creation of new streams of products and services under the increasing convergence trend. It is foreseeable that end users’ demand on this area will rise in an upward spiral trend.
The 2nd Day of Symposium
To encourage discussion in this area, the second day of symposium with the theme of “Network & Service Optimization: New Era of 3G, Mobile Internet & Mobile Broadband & Digitainment” will be under discussion about the future network development trend, solutions for better network optimization and application ideas from technology convergence, this is definitely a session of which communications professionals cannot afford to miss.
The blueprint of Government’s ICT development always provides the direction on how the industry goes. It is honorable to have representative of Ministry of Information & Communications, Vietnam to release the ICT Development Orientations for the Period of 2010 – 2020 in Vietnam. Apart from that, representative of the Office of Vietnam Government will share about the IT application on the administrative issues of the Vietnam Government.
More hot topics on technology innovations and applications for business and life will be discussed, including 3G ( by Amdocs, ZTE), LTE (by Nokia Siemens Networks), cloud computing (by Cisco, IBM), vertical market application (by Ericsson) and social networking (by Facebook). Topics such as “Monetising 3G Networks and the Booming Data Demand” and “Cloud Computing – The Solution that Optimizes Business Performance and Enhance Competitiveness”. Local industry players such as VDC and VEIA will share more about the market overview particularly on the Internet and hardware development. The concurrent exhibitions, Vietnam Telecomp/ Vietnam Internet & IT/ Vietnam Electronics 2010, will be held during Nov 17 – 20, 2010 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
